Summerhill Homes & Real Estate Toronto

Summerhill Homes & Real Estate Toronto

This “thoroughly Toronto” neighbourhood reaches from David A. Balfour Park in the east to Avenue Road in the West, and from Farnham Avenue south to the railway tracks near Dupont Street.

Named for Summer Hill House, a sumptuous Regency home built in 1842 for transportation baron Charles Thompson, Summerhill’s handsome houses, low crime rate, low housing stock turnover and central location make it one of the city’s most desired neighbourhoods.

Summerhill homes are a mix of detached and semi-detached, two- and three-storey houses, typically with all-brick construction. On the outside, the homes display all the historic charm of a century ago, while many interiors have typically been beautifully renovated—often with modern minimalist design themes. The neighbourhood has also seen the appearance of a small number of newer townhomes and upscale boutique condominium buildings. While Summerhill properties are sometimes narrow and lack parking, the homes themselves and the perfect location more than compensate.

Summerhill could well be described as the ideal urban neighbourhood, with mixed use, beautiful Victorian and Edwardian era homes, winding tree-lined streets, abundant green space and convenient access to all the city offers.
Summerhill homes are truly “not far from anything”.... not far Toronto’s best retail shopping, dining and entertainment on Bloor Street, in Yorkville, on

Yonge, or at Avenue Road and Davenport. Not far from good schools and great parks. And not far from downtown via the Summerhill or Eglinton subway stations.
