Bloordale Village Homes for sale and Real Estate Toronto

Bloordale Homes & Real Estate TorontoWith real estate prices climbing in areas such as Parkdale, Beaconsfield Village, The Junction and Trinity Bellwoods, few neighbourhoods in the central core along the subway line can be described as affordable anymore. Bloordale Village, however, has been slower to see the process of change and renewal, and its past reputation was not the best. Thus it remains a reasonably priced area for home buyers and investors.

But change is happening in this highly diverse neighbourhood — spurred by its designation as a Toronto Business Improvement Area, and fostered by neighbourhood residents, businesses and community organizations. Close proximity to The Annex has led to Bloordale being considered as one of the city’s up-and-coming art districts, with new film studios and art galleries moving in — including the Mercer Union Centre for Contemporary Art, the Toronto Free Gallery and the function gallery. Other new developments are helping to revitalize the area.

This is an ethnically diverse part of the city, where Latin, Asian and European voices can be heard, and there are shops and small restaurants catering to a dozen or more nationalities.
